NB: Cloud based back-up options require fast internet speeds ideally on an unlimited plan to avoid any costly surprises. Refer ITS VDSL/VoIP services
Question: Typically how long is my data retained in the cloud before it’s deleted
Answer: By default the last 28 backups are retained. However configuration is flexible. Some customers have opted for a monthly archive which can be retained indefinitely. Configuration can be changed at any time. No data is retained upon cancellation of a service.
Question: How will I know if my back-ups are working and have been successful/unsuccessful?
Answer: You will receive email notifications. Most customers opt to receive daily notifications but these can be set-up and customised to suit you requirements.
Question: I am busy and not always available to monitor emails on a daily basis. Can IT Support manage the monitoring for me?
Answer: Yes, for an additional monthly fee IT Support will monitor the back-up’s on a daily basis and contact you if there is a problem requiring an engineering response.
Question: How easy is it to restore data from a back-up?
Answer: Easy. However, in the event of a large data restore, a local backup would make the process quicker. This would be a secondary backup option and would need a suitable device (ie, NAS Drive or workstation) to be available and left on at all times. Additional configuration would also be required to make this an option.
