Protect your email from server outages

Some domain hosting providers offer an additional service commonly called BackUp MX. This is an add-on service that enables emails to be stored or queued on the domain host servers so that in the event of failure your email will be stored until your server is back online.

This service does vary between providers both in cost and what is offered and it is important to check that the service includes SPAM filtering and automatic queuing and forwarding.

It is generally low cost and is worth investigating if available to you.
